This prayer is a tribute to empower all of us. May we allow ourselves the time to feel the blow of agony that so many experience during this COVID 19 pandemic, that we may be held in prayer together by our faith in the One. So, let us feel this aspect of suffering of our world while in zikr, in remembrance of the One Love that was their first, before the crisis, as well as in remembrance of the Beloved that is present at the End, as we all pass through this crucial event in the unique ways we are called.
Some more tradition perspective on Ya 'Awwal Ya Akhir follows: To everything that arises in our life there is something before it; that is the Beloved, al-'Awwal. And to to everything that ends, dies, there is something after it, the Beloved al-Akhir.
"So with every activity that we go through in our life, if you tune into the One that is before the activity, and the One that is after the activity, we will maintain our continuity of being in the God Reality."
