A Delicate Balance Album:
When we truly fluidly feel with life around us and within our individual being, then we may be more able to compassionately relate to ourselves and others as sacred essence, that is the shimmering of the light and dark of Creation. This could be referred to as divine intimacy. Hazrat Inayat Khan has written, "Humanity, divine limitation; divinity, human perfection." I realize that a vital aspect of our ability as human beings to be complete or balanced is the cultivation of this intimacy. So, what may be factors of limitation that impact the maturation of our potential to experience intimacy and fully be present to sense and feel the world as it touches us each day?

It may be the personal traumas, tragedies, and hurts we have experienced in our family and/or society that may result in an isolated, insulated, defense-based hardening that inhibits and distorts our ability to be present and therefore intimate with the life. So, this album touches upon the theme of what "A Delicate Balance" it is indeed between our Humanity and Divinity. This Album of wazifah inspired songs/dances has arisen from our personal walk of life with our own wounded conditions as well as being guided by the qualities of wholeness that are the wazifahs. We hope that it may help all to remember and realize that perhap 'because of' rather than 'in spite of' our personal brokenness that we come to sense, experience and realize our divine inheritance.
