Is it the ego that you enthrone in the sacred altar of your heart? Or is it the one, beyond whom there is nothing?. Al Mutal'ali can be seen as a pathway for transcending every layer of ego identity. Prayerful repetition of Ya 'Aliyy and Ya Muta'ali leads to overcoming our clinging to an egocentric view of life.
