Ya Qawiyy, Ya Aziz:
This melody and dance practice was part of the first wave of melodies that came through in dreams. I felt that it came through to help me become aware that it is a strength rather than a weakness not express oneself in life. Throughout my life I believed something was quite wrong with me because I was inhibited and insecure in certain areas of my life. But I learned that it is a blessed strength to overcome the impulse of self-expression as well as have kindness towards that part of my being that has felt insecure for so long. I have learned that it requires true power of presence not to use the energy welling up inside that is ready to burst forth, especially when the this is driven by a reactive, defensive, and deficient sense of self. Through invoking Ya Qawiyy we empty ourselves of all reactions and impression and realize that all personal power is the result of power coming from the divine source, in this case being, al Aziz, our precious true soul nature that is the marriage of self-worth and strength. (Attunement inspired by the book Physicians of the Heart)
